Diabetes Management

Technology Can Fail

As great as our pumps and meters are at helping us manage diabetes, Rhodes was recently reminded that this technology doesn’t always work perfectly. Now he is better prepared with a back up plan if his diabetes technology fails.

It’s Okay to Have an Off Day

As hard as he may try, Rhodes knows that it is impossible to have perfect diabetes management all the time. So rather than beat himself up, he gives himself a “night off.” Once a week, Rhodes indulges in his temptations, before getting right back on the bandwagon.

Weekly Meal Planning

Do you want to stick to a low-carb, healthy, diabetic-friendly diet? But don’t have the time it takes to plan and prepare? Alana keeps it simple. She says it all starts with the Protein! Proteins are low-carb and keep you satisfied. So pick your protein for the week– lean chicken, pork, beef, tofu. Buy a lot (a weeks […]

Your Period

We have heard from a lot of women, both younger and older, that they have a very hard time managing their blood sugar during “that time of the month.”  Take heart, ladies, you are not alone.
