It's back to school time! For parents with a type 1 diabetic, it is a very anxious time of year, whether your child is going back to a new school or maybe going to school for the first time. We have some tips for you to be ready! Go into it with a collaborative approach and a lot of patience. Try to meet with administrators, teachers and nurses face to face. Educate them about the disease and demonstrate your child's management supplies and equipment. Then document your plans and agreements in writing.
