Getting Ready For A Football Game

As a diabetic, preparing for a football game means more than having your team colors ready to wear. Rhodes makes sure he's prepared for the entire duration of the game and them some. He always wears a jacket or vest with lots of pockets for meters, sugar sources, and supplies. When asked about his gear, he tells the bag checkers he is diabetic and needs sugar sources to manage his blood sugar. Fortunately, he's never had his granola bars or glucose tabs confiscated. However, with the heightened security we will likely see in the coming days in stadiums and concert halls, it wouldn't hurt to carry a doctor's note explaining what diabetic supplies you require in case you need to justify meters, insulin pens or needles. Go TEAM!
