Fasting When Diabetic

It seems that everywhere you turn, someone is hyping "intermittent fasting" diet plans. These suggest eating in 8-12 hour windows and then fasting for 12-16 hour windows. While some people may achieve weight loss or other positive health benefits with this type of plan, as diabetics, we suggest you be very careful before starting any new diet. If you are on insulin or any type of diabetes medication, please talk to your doctor FIRST. You may need to adjust the timing and amounts of meds to avoid lows!
